Okay, I have wasted quite a considerable bandwidth now to watch every single advertisements that appeared on Super Bowl Game. It’s time I give you my perspective and more importantly my pick of the ads I liked and the ones I hated.

Unfortunately there were also some ads which were disgrace to the Super Bowl and Godaddy seems to be the front runner in this extraordinary league of worst ads. I have never liked the service of Godaddy and their ads are no different either. All of this makes Bob Parsons the most wanted criminal in my personal hitlist just after George Bush.

Ad Generator - Ads on the Go

It doesn’t take too much of an imagination to realize that if you combine some words with an image then it would say something. It won’t be a full fledged story but a message which can be directed towards some purpose. Television Advertisements are no different because they are not complete films but a short video message directed to you so that you may buy something.

I am however only gonna stick to the print ads which can be created on the go by giving some words to an image. A website is worth checking out in this regard because it retrieves images from flickr and generate some text for an image which on this crazy combination becomes something like an ad. The site I am talking about is called The Ad Generator and in their own language it is a “generative artwork that explores how advertising uses and manipulates language.”

The ad generator was created by Alexis Lloyd as a component of an MFA thesis project in the Design and Technology department at Parsons The New School for Design.

The Super Bowl is over and most of us even know the ads that aired while the game was on but if you missed out on that one then there are some more online resources where you can see the Super Bowl Commercials and can even rate the ones you like the most.

Watch Super Bowl Ads Before Sunday Game Outside USA

Super Bowl is not just the biggest day for all the American football lovers but it bears significant value for all the advertising enthusiasts as well as major companies use the platform to market their brands. It is one day when advertisers boast of their products and more importantly the creative advertisements which are made for this special occasion.

If you happen to live outside USA then it highly unlikely that you’d be able to watch those ads. You always have Youtube to go and check out the videos but how would you know that this ad appeared during Super Bowl break.

You can now check out most of the videos right now at the website of Adweek. Most of these ads belong to big brands like Coke and Pepsi.

Navigation and Entertainment in One

Volkswagen has introduced some navigation system and to market that appropriately they got some print and video ads made from DDB Berlin. Now, almost all of their advertisements are cool but one video ad particularly garnered most of my attention because it produces a miasma of strange and often funny emotions when you watch it. Watch the video below before I say something more about it.

First of all, it is indeed creative or more judiciously unique to set an Arabian setup without resorting to the artificial sets. The actors make you laugh and continue to retain a surprise element throughout the advertisement.

The whole feel of the video ad is dramatic and hilarious. We can however argue on the fact that whether it is indeed common sense (which is so uncommon these days) to sell something which gets sold on features and price. There is however no mention of any feature except that it combines “Navigation and Entertainment in One.”

At the end, I can safely say that if I dance like that man in the video I wont reach home on my two legs.
