Cool websites for creative ad makers

Tags: , , , , ,

Advertising is perhaps the craziest job on this planet which is suited for finest eccentrics. But being insane 24*7 is not easy and it really needs some motivation of exceptional degree to get you going. Thank God we now have some tools to use when we are just not crazy enough to make ads on our own. Although these tools only facilitate the process of creating ads and marketing campaigns but they have got enough fuel to bookmark our attention.

Mouse Brains is an online brainstorming tool for advertising executives which is based on lateral thinking. It merely acts as a “thought-starter” which means you have to keep your mind open and catch the random thoughts while channeling them to let ideas happen. The website is fun to play with and not just limited to pro ad guys. You don’t need to register on this website.

Idea Engine is another site similar to mousebrains in intentions but a bit less insane. You gotta sign up on this website before you can milk its wisdom. It claims to solve your majority of problems regarding advertising & marketing which in my view is bit exaggerated. I didn’t enjoy this site pretty much but something tells me that it will appeal more to marketing professionals cocooned in black suits.

The above mentioned sites are good when you have a kind of writer’s block (call it creative block for the sake of differentiation) and need a bit of push to help you get that flow back but ultimately you want your ideas to be appreciated which is only possible when companies buy it.

BootB is a place to go when you have ideas to sell. You gotta register on this website before you can create ad campaigns for the companies looking for unlimited creativity to help their brands rise. You essentially make ads for companies and they decide which campaign to use and buy from the ideas created by many other users. And you are paid if company buys your idea while BootB keeps 10% of the purchase price as their commission.
